Sponsorship Terms

Last updated: August 24, 2026 (sponsorship_terms_v1)

1. What you are purchasing

A StateBrag sponsorship is the purchase of a digital advertising placement on StateBrag-owned web and mobile properties (a "State Crown"). You receive commercial exposure: your approved creative (name, logo, tagline, link) displayed on the applicable state page and related surfaces, clearly labeled as paid sponsorship.

A sponsorship purchase does not buy votes, does not affect StateBrag rankings, does not provide a cash prize, lottery entry, gambling opportunity, wagering interest, or any financial return, and creates no ownership or revenue share of any kind.

2. Placement duration

  • Guaranteed minimum: every activated sponsorship receives at least 1 hour (the currently configured guaranteed period) of active placement, except in cases of policy violation, fraud, payment reversal, legal requirement, or emergency security action.
  • Maximum term: 30 days from activation.
  • After your guaranteed period, another eligible advertiser may purchase the placement. If that happens, your sponsorship ends and the new sponsorship activates ("replaced by a higher-priced sponsorship").
  • If another advertiser purchases while you are inside your guaranteed period, their sponsorship is queued and activates when your guaranteed period ends. At most one sponsorship can be queued per state.
  • A queued sponsorship's own guaranteed period and 30-day maximum begin at its actual activation time.

3. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. The full price is shown before checkout; StateBrag adds no hidden mandatory fees. Sponsorships do not auto-renew — every purchase requires your explicit action and payment authorization. You are never charged for a failed reservation attempt.

4. Refunds

  • Being replaced by another advertiser after your guaranteed period is the normal operation of the marketplace and does not qualify for a refund.
  • Refunds are available (subject to review) for: duplicate payments; payments captured where the sponsorship never activated; major technical failure preventing delivery of the guaranteed minimum placement; fraudulent transactions; StateBrag cancellation of a placement before delivery; incorrect charges; and where required by law.
  • Removal for violation of the Sponsorship Policy may result in loss of remaining placement time without refund, subject to applicable law.

5. Advertiser representations

  • You are at least 18 years old and authorized to make the purchase.
  • You own or are authorized to use the submitted name, logo, tagline, and destination content.
  • Your creative and destination comply with the Sponsorship Policy and applicable law.
  • Your destination URL is accurate and will not be swapped to different content after approval.

6. Moderation, suspension, removal

All creatives require approval before display. StateBrag may suspend or remove advertisements that violate policy, are reported as malicious, or are legally required to be removed. Acceptance of an advertisement does not constitute endorsement by StateBrag, and sponsorship does not imply any affiliation with a state or its residents.

7. Analytics

Impression, reach, and click metrics are estimates and may be filtered for suspected bots, duplicate activity, and invalid traffic. StateBrag does not guarantee impressions, clicks, sales, conversions, or ranking outcomes — you are purchasing placement and time, not business results.

8. Chargebacks and fraud

Fraudulent transactions and abusive chargebacks may result in removal of placements and account suspension. StateBrag maintains service-delivery records (activation, guaranteed period, delivered time, metrics, acceptance timestamps) for dispute resolution.

9. Service interruptions

If a StateBrag technical failure prevents delivery of your guaranteed minimum placement, the shortfall is flagged for refund review. Reasonable maintenance windows and third-party outages outside StateBrag's control are handled in good faith.

10. Governing law and disputes

[Placeholder — governing law, venue, and dispute-resolution provisions require attorney review before production launch. No binding arbitration clause is included without explicit legal review.]
